Meet the Coaches
The people who make CCC happen on the trail.
Our coaches are volunteers who give their time to help riders grow. They ride with the kids, teach skills, promote safety, and build a team culture where everyone belongs.

Jeff
East Practice Lead
I was a roadie back in high school in the 70s, but since the 90s mountain biking has been my passion. I’m stoked to see the current generation of Middle and High School MTB riders with that same passion, and enjoying our local trails and competing in the league. Its truly an honor to coach such amazing riders!

Andrew
Ride Lead
I love to ride my bike. I have two adult daughters whom I used to coach in soccer. I really enjoy providing a positive environment for the kids to enjoy and grow physically and mentally.

David
Coach
Since I first started racing road and mountain bikes in high school, I’ve been hooked. Now in my sixth year of coaching for CCC, I’m passionate about giving back to the sport and sharing that excitement with the next generation. Coaching mountain biking is about having fun, building community, and developing the skills that lead to success both on and off the bike.

Gordon
Coach
It’s an opportunity to share a common interest/passion with my son, while simultaneously building my knowledge, experience, confidence, and mental/physical endurance in MTB to help, support and assist the CCC Coaches/Team in delivering its mission.

Zack
Coach
I have loved riding bikes since I was a kid. And now riding with my son is one of my joys. I am happy to support getting more kids on bikes and to help coach on my son’s CCC team .

Rob
Coach
I've been involved with the Contra Costa Composite team since 2021. I enjoy helping student-athletes build technical skills, confidence, fitness, and a lifelong appreciation for riding. My favorite local trails are all over mt. Diablo but I live next to Briones.
